This blog post is dedicated to my oma. great grandmother amazing woman. she passed away october 1st at 9 am . вечная память the song they play every saturday in orthodox churches. also at funerals . means eternal memory. oma was the best. she helped me with my dutch the whole reason i started to learn was because of her. she was a fighter a lover a joker with character. could be stubborn could be anything very unpredictible. she survived WWII and married a soldier. came to canada knowing only dutch straight from holland. 89 years old next month . oma i miss you and love you. you will be forever in my heart . in our hearts. may we meet again .
