this one's for the chefs

hello everyone today i am going to explain on Russian cooking.
well Russian cooking is very different from american and Canadian in the fact that they use the metric system (which i happen to like)
something to help you learn vocabulary is getting Russian recipes. you learn words that you wouldn't think of like pour mix stir and it helps you learn Russian food and after that lesson you get to eat it!!
Russian food is quite delicious and hearty. now something that most Canadians dont have to worry about but Americans is Celsius. Russian uses it and Canadians now use it.  the metric system actually is quite easy as you know how much 5 grams is then 15 grams vs imperial which is 1 tsp and 3tsp =1tbs in USA but 4 tsp = 1 tbs in the UK or so i am told. so metric u never have to worry about the wrong measurement. also doubling is simpler i mean what is easier doubling 4/6 of a cup or 42.2? well looks both simple but i think metric is faster when it comes to doubling rather than fractions unless your a walking calculator. i have actually learned in a week how much grams are and millimeters and stuff just by looking for things online so if you are planing to practice Russian by cooking and using a recipe which you dont understand well by trial and error you can succeed. now here are some sites to help you find Russian recipes.
http://www.gotovim.ru/
http://gotovim-doma.ru
http://kuking.ru/
these are all great sites but my favorite is the second.
anyway one of the first things to try out i would recomend is blini yea these are simple russian crepes but hey the thing about them is that they are easy, the grammar and words and you can make them for dessert breakfast lunch dinner brunch anytime.
ok words for today
